My Favorite {store bought} Snacks


I am a snacker.

Just thinking about only eating 3 times a day makes me nervous and my blood sugar drop. I graze all day long (even when I'm not pregnant) and you'll always find a stash of trail mix or a granola bar in my purse and car. 

I really do try to mostly eat whole foods—like fruits, veggies, yogurt, etc, but that's just not always convenient when we are on-the-go or I'm being just plain lazy. So, in my efforts to not stuff my face with Goldfish and Chex mix … I like to have some healthy, store-bought snacks on hand. 

There are a lot of good options out there, but here are some of my favs...


Go Raw Super Cookies- This is one of the purist, nutrient-rich snacks I've seen. With only 5 ingredients, this little cookie is sweetened by coconut and dates and has sprouted seeds making them extremely healthy. My favorite is carrot cake and chocolate. To call it a "cookie" is a bit of a stretch, but they are definitely a good little snack.  
Lara Bars- again, simple ingredients. Dates, nuts, fruit. They taste better than you would think! They are around $.88 per bar at Costco. 

Qi'a Superfood - The chia and hemp seeds make this very nutritious. Its a little pricey, so I don't eat it like regular cereal, I just sprinkle it on yogurt. This is at Costco as well. 
 
KIND bars- Again, simple ingredients like nuts, fruit and yogurt. You can find them on amazon for around $1.40 each. 
Dried Figs- I've already gone on my dried date rant, but these are starting to become a new fav. They are un-sulfured, have no additives and are loaded with vitamins and minerals.  If you're into fiber–figs have more than any other fruit. Also from Costco.

  
Natures Pantry Fig Bars- These have quite a few more ingredients, like sugar, but they are still non-GMO and a good option. At Costco.


Lundberg Rice Chips- these are gluten-free and non-GMO. If I can find them for $2.50 or less, I always stock up. A way better option to regular potato chips or corn chips.
